2014 Bishop's Peak Cabernet Sauvignon
Produced from grapes grown in the Santa Margarita Vineyard in the cool southwestern corner of the Paso Robles viticultural area, the 2014 Bishop’s Peak Cabernet Sauvignon is garnet in color with aromas of cassis and boysenberry. On the palate, notes of blackberry and dark cherry are complemented by hints of white and green pepper. This wine is medium bodied with a firm, dry finish with a touch of cedar. Try it with a wood-fired pizza or tender spare ribs.
Vinous, September 2016. Inky ruby. Ripe cherry, dark berries and a hint of vanilla on the perfumed nose. Sweet, seamless dark fruit, mocha and spicecake flavors put on weight and gain energy with air. Rich yet lively; a peppery element adds cut to the long, focused finish, and fine-grained tannins add grip.
