Sarah's Beef Stew
January 25, 2016
If you have attended an event at Talley Vineyards, you have been fortunate enough to enjoy the culinary expertise of Sarah Matthews. Sarah does an amazing job catering for us and we all have personal favorites from her repertoire of delicious dishes. With winter here, and an El Nino winter no less, we can’t help but think of Sarah’s beef stew. She was kind enough to share the recipe, as well as some helpful preparation tips. We recommend enjoying this dish with a loaf of crusty bread and a bottle of 2013 Bishop’s Peak Elevation.
Sarah's Butternut Squash Lasagna
January 21, 2013
Attendees to any Talley Vineyards wine shipment pick-up party are always eager to see what tempting treat has been prepared by our chef, Sarah Matthews. While every bite Sarah creates is a hit, the lasagna she served at October’s pick-up party seemed to create extra excitement.
Sautéed Pork Chops with Sweet Potato
August 24, 2013
We adapted this recipe from One Pan, Two Plates by Carla Snyder. This delicious meal would be perfect to pair with a Pinot Noir.
Seared Duck Breast with Pinot Noir Sauce
October 13, 2015
Duck and Pinot Noir are a classic combination. Look for Muscovy duck breasts; they are generally larger and have a lower fat-to-meat ratio than the breasts of other duck varieties. Jars of demi-glace are sold in specialty food stores. This recipe is adapted from Williams-Sonoma, Entertaining, by George Dolese (Oxmoor House, 2004).
Summer Salad with Cumin-Crusted Salmon
July 2, 2014
Michele Good, our Director of Business Operations, shares one of her favorite recipes for a salmon salad that pairs with our pinot noir or our chardonnays.
Syrah Soy Tri-tip
May 20, 2013
Summer is around the corner and it is time to start planning outdoor meals. Clean off the grill for this tri-tip dinner, best accompanied by grilled summer vegetables. The 2012 Bishop’s Peak Rincon Vineyard Syrah is the perfect wine pairing.
