This vintage of pinot noir from the Edna Valley expresses a complex bouquet of plum, blueberry and bright cherry. The dark fruit notes compliment the layers of rose petal and subtle earth. This full-bodied wine has a great weight with a feminine delicacy and soft tannins that round out the long finish. Enjoy the 2012 Edna Valley Pinot Noir with rack of lamb and a wild mushroom risotto.

Wine Profile
Ratings
89 Points. Antonio Galloni, July 2014. The 2012 Pinot Noir Edna Valley bursts from the glass with dark red cherries, plums, sweet spices and leather. This is a decidedly ripe, sweet style for Talley, but there is plenty of near term appeal, not to mention tons of pure raciness to get lost in. Drink now - 2017.
Vineyard Notes
The 2012 vintage was one of those rare years where both quality and yield were exceptional, probably the best overall since 2005. The growing season was ideal with slightly below average rainfall, moderate canopy growth and very little mildew or botrytis. Due to excellent spring weather, fruit set was ideal. Yields were about 20% above average and the resulting wines are elegant and balanced.
