The grapes for this Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc were the last harvested from our vineyards in 2012.  It was purposely made in a low alcohol style to preserve freshness and a high level of residual sugar which gives the wine its intense sweetness.  Aromas of ripe peaches and apricots carry onto the palate where viscosity and surprising acidity balance those flavors perfectly.  This sweet wine is excellent with fruit and cheese, foie gras, or all by itself for dessert.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The 2012 vintage was one of those rare years where both quality and yield were exceptional, probably the best overall since 2005. The growing season was ideal with slightly below average rainfall, moderate canopy growth and very little mildew or botrytis. Due to excellent spring weather, fruit set was ideal. Yields were about 20% above average and the resulting wines are elegant and balanced.
