Rich aromas of lemon zest and crème brulee with a hint of orange blossom.  Initial flavors of fresh market apricots and lemon curd give way to an endless finish of toast and minerality.   This wine has a rich, creamy texture balanced by a bright acidity and flintiness characteristic of Rosemary’s Chardonnay. This wine pairs well with oysters and grilled lobster.

Wine Profile
92 Points. California Grapevine, Vol 38, Oct 12.2010 Talley Vineyards, "Rosemary’s Vineyard,” Arroyo Grande Valley ($46) – Medium-light to medium golden yellow; attractive, forward, intense, pear and green apple aroma showing notes of toasty oak and minerality with hints of honeysuckle, hazelnut, and butterscotch; full body; forward, rich, textured, firmly structured, lemony, pear and green apple flavors with food depth and a slightly creamy mouthfeel; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended. 14.5% alcohol; 330 cases; 100% Chardonnay

94 Points. Robert Parker, August 2012. The richness of the Rincon and the subtlety of Oliver’s come together in the 2010 Chardonnay Rosemary’s Vineyard. The 2010 possesses remarkable depth, polish and nuance from start to finish, all supported by layers of vibrant, saline minerality. It is a wine of impeccable breed and pure class. This is the coolest of the Chardonnay sites Talley works with, which gives the wine its distinctive acidity. The Rosemary’s is a rare Chardonnay of true distinction. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.

94 Points. Stephen Tanzer, Nov/Dec 2012. Light, bright gold. Explosive aromas of orange, hazelnut and chamomile, with a spicy overtone. At once energetic and deep, offering vibrant citrus and orchard fruit flavors that gain flesh and weight with air. Wonderfully seamless and silky in texture, finishing with strong punch, distinct minerality and striking clarity.

90 Points. WIne Enthusiast, February, 2013. Pure, intense and raw, yet very rich and deep, with layers of perfumed pear, fig, honeysuckle and melon. Slow to unfold, this is exciting now but holds promise for the future. Drink now through 2020.—J.L.
Vineyard Notes
The 2010 year began with average rainfall followed by a very warm spring which enhanced fruit set. The summer and fall months were the coolest on record leading to an exceptionally long growing season. A six day heat spell in mid-September finished the ripening. Yields in the Arroyo Grande Valley were average and the grapes had lower sugar levels and perfectly developed flavors.
