2008 Bishop's Peak Petite Sirah
This wine is no longer available.
The 2008 Petite Sirah has an attractive inky purple color reflecting its deep layers of fruit and spice. A mixed bouquet of cedar, dates, maple, and plum lead into full bodied, mid-palate flavors of black fruit. This plush wine balances fruit flavors with soft tannins that lead into a long, dry finish. This petite sirah would complement grilled pork tenderloin with a black cherry reduction sauce.
Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Ranchita Canyon Vineyard is located on the Eastern side of Paso Robles with south facing hillsides at 1000' to 1400' elevation with primarily chalky, calcareous soil. The first vines were planted in 1970, and now the Hinrichs family owns and operates the vineyard and winery with the goal to achieve rich, concentrated, bold fruit. The 2008 harvest in Paso Robles was small, yet the quality of the fruit was exceptional with concentrated, intense flavors.
