2010 Bishop's Peak Petit Verdot
Tannins are ripe yet firm. Try it with grilled ribeye.
Releasing Monday, October 14th
The 2010 Petit Verdot is dark purple in color. Hints of blackberry and cassis mingle with classic Bordeaux notes of cigar box and cedar in the nose. The flavors emphasize sweet dark plum, cassis and a bit of chocolate. Tannins are ripe yet firm. Try it with grilled ribeye.
The 2010 year began with above average rainfall, ending a three year drought in the Paso Robles region. July was one of the coolest on record leading to a late harvest and an exceptionally long growing season. Yields in Paso Robles were average and the grapes had lower sugar levels and perfectly developed flavors with lower alcohols in the finished wines.
