2009 Mano Tinta Red Wine
Mano Tinta, “Red Hand”, is a robust red wine dedicated to the pride and commitment of farm workers to their craft. All of the grapes, materials and services used to make this wine were donated. All profits from the sale of Mano Tinta will benefit the Fund for Vineyard and Farm Workers, an endowment created by Brian and Johnine Talley to support farm workers and their families in San Luis Obispo County.
The 2009 Mano Tinta blend consists of hearty grape varieties known for producing dark and robust red wines. This wine has a complex bouquet layered with candied fruit aromas, sweet tobacco and hints of cedar. This full bodied red wine is consistently rich on the palate with flavors of black fruit and spice that finish with soft, well-balanced tannins. This wine would make a tasty and festive pairing to a grilled flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce.
