2012 Bishop's Peak Sauvignon Blanc
This sauvignon blanc has vibrant aromas of lime and grapefruit zest, pineapple, and hints of fresh herbs. The mid-palate has layered flavors of bright citrus and stone fruit with an underlying minerality. The wine finishes dry and is a perfect complement to raw oysters and other light seafood fare.
The 2012 vintage was one of those rare years where both quality and yield were exceptional, probably the best overall since 2005. The growing season was ideal with slightly below average rainfall, moderate canopy growth and very little mildew or botrytis. Due to excellent spring weather, fruit set was ideal. Yields were about 20% above average and the resulting wines are elegant and balanced.

This bottle I saved for our home. Thoroughly enjoyed this wine, the blends of citrus were flavorful with no acidity.
