Beautiful aromas of mandarin, lemon zest, and fresh cut flowers define this vintage of Oliver's Chardonnay. The bright citrus flavors continue through the palate where the taut acidity and wet stone minerality combine to produce a wine of elegance and freshness. Hints of toast and white peach round out the finish. This wine pairs well with delicate whitefish dishes.

Wine Profile
93 Points.Robert Parker, August 2012. Talley’s 2010 Chardonnay Oliver’s Vineyard wraps around the palate with layers of refined, finessed fruit. The Oliver’s impresses primarily for its textural elegance and pure harmony. It isn’t an obvious Chardonnay, but rather a wine built on finesse and the brighter aromas and flavors of the grape. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.

92 Points. Stephen Tanzer, Nov/Dec 2012. Light gold. Potent aromas of poached pear, honey and lees, with a suave undercurrent of anise and iodine; smells like a really good white Burgundy. Chewy, tightly focused orchard fruit flavors are braced by a tangy lemon zest quality and become spicier with air. Finishes with excellent clarity, focus and lingering smokiness.

91 Points. The Tasting Panel Magazine, Anthony Dias Blue.Top Chioces for Gift-Giving This Holiday Season (White wine). Smooth and suave with lovely notes of vanilla and oak ; fresh and juicy with depth and elegance; long and complex.

89 Points. Wine Spectator - Web Only, 2013. Intense, raw-textured and elegantly styled, with snappy pear, melon, spice and floral scents, ending with fresh minerality. Drink now through 2019. 338 cases made. –JL
Vineyard Notes
The 2010 year began with average rainfall followed by a very warm spring which enhanced fruit set. The summer and fall months were the coolest on record leading to an exceptionally long growing season. A six day heat spell in mid-September finished the ripening. Yields in the Arroyo Grande Valley were average and the grapes had lower sugar levels and perfectly developed flavors.
