2010 Talley Vineyards Edna Valley Chardonnay
This wine is no longer available.
Light golden yellow in color, this chardonnay has perfumey aromas of white flowers, fresh pear, apricot, pineapple, honeydew and ginger. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine has hints of light oak and vanilla balanced with bright acidity and a long, graceful finish. This well-structured chardonnay pairs well with buttery sautéed scallops or creamy chicken dishes.
Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The 2010 year began with average rainfall followed by a very warm spring, which enhanced fruit set. The summer and fall months were the coolest on record leading to an exceptionally long growing season. A six day heat spell in mid September finished the ripening. Yields in the Edna Valley were average and the grapes had lower sugar levels and perfectly developed flavors.
