Artist Exhibit - Carolyn Leach

Carolyn has lived her entire life on the Central Coast.  She has a keen appreciation for the wide, open spaces of California and the West, translating her love of the outdoors into her paintings. 

Largely self-taught, she has been working exclusively in watercolors for over ten years.  She finds watercolor intriguing, and particularly enjoys the process of layering and blending transparent pigments. 

She has received both local and national awards for her paintings, including “Paint the Parks“, a nationwide competition focusing on our National Parks.  Recently, she won “Outstanding Watercolor” at the Nipomo Arts Commission annual show.  She has exhibited her works in galleries and at several successful private shows.  Her collectors can be found across the U.S. and Europe. 

Her work glistens with light, and her command of the medium gives a clear sense of depth to the spaces she creates.  Whether painting landscapes, beach scenes or tropical foliage - her works are alive with light and color.
