Bishop's Peak Wine Reviews

Bishop's Peak 2005 Syrah, Edna Valley

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 8/31/08
The 2005 Bishop's Peak syrah is a fruit driven California version of a Crozes-Hermitage with its notes of black olives, cassis, ana bay leaf, in a soft, easy, bistro style. It is a meduim-bodied , silky, and best drunk over the next several years.

Bishop's Peak 2006 Chardonnay, Central Coast

Food & Wine Pairing:
Pasta with Cauliflower, Peppers and Walnut Pesto and 2006 Bishop's Peak Chardonnay: "..the creamy 2006 Bishop's Peak is a good option."

Inside the Bay Area, Charles Olken, 2006
This wine from Talley Vineyards, comes from a winery whose vineyard-designated Chardonnays retail in the $40-50 range and whose regular production wines approach $30 in price. It is not surprising that a producer of such high-quality wines would have some batches that it has made to be higher-priced but which do not fit into the overall blend. Rather than selling that wine off to others, Talley has bottled it under the Bishop's Peak moniker and the result is a tasty, green appley, slightly blossomy wine full of energetic flavors.
